Character Art
Production-ready character and creature assets for real-time games.
Characters are almost always at the heart of any game, and making them spectacular and memorable is key. I can create initial explorations and concepts of designs in 2D, create turntables and reference material from existing images, or work in 3D to create high-quality, optimized characters for use in real-time workflows. I'm familiar with programs like Maya, Blender, Substance Painter 3D, and ZBrush, and my familiarity with rigging and character animation ensures I prioritize good UVs and topology flow.
While my work with characters covers many fields, I often find myself drawn to realistic creature design as my go-to favorite. The research required to create believable creatures for both familiar and alien environments pushes me to learn more about the world around me and build my skills in rendering or sculpting complicated textures like scales, leathery skin, and fur.
